that the "Dream" is not the end result.
The "Dream" is being
a wayward working writer,
and all that comes with that...
The rejections,
the shitty open mics,
writing drivel Black Friday email copy for money,
the constant internal debate,
the doubt, the fear, the love...
That is the "Dream,"
because once you've "made it"
you stop dreaming;
the minute you think you've achieved
the "Dream" is when you've lost sight of it.
The struggle is the dream.
The early mornings editing are the dream.
The sacrifices are the dream.
The nightmare of life
is actually the blessing
of living in pursuit of your passion.
