trying to figure it all out.
people wake up every damn day
before the fog clears
to prove that nothing is out to get us,
and they say that they are going to change their lives,
but all I want, personally, is to eat in peace
for a brief moment in being and history
without anything happening
like a flood or a fight with my wife.
