POVs are Unique

I'm laying parallel with the clouds.
I am at the chiropractor
in an office on the third floor
so in this flat Florida landscape
you can see very far in every direction,
unless your view is blocked by a billboard
or a Walmart.

There is a fire burning in the Everglades,
and I didn’t think my spine could crack this much,
but it feels great and will hopefully help my posture.

Most writers have bad backs,
because we're hunched over typers,
and we carry our stress in our shoulders,
not only our heart as most assume.

The clouds are flat and white,
contrasting the black billows of smoke,
from burning saw grass, cypress trees,
and probably bird nests,
as I lay here and watch, paying
a beautiful Brazilian man to almost
break my neck.
