so if you are excited about something
find it in yourself to remain excited
because most people won't give you
the response you were hoping for
new job, big accomplishment, winning,
whatever it is
it doesn't matter to others
a fraction as much as it matters to you
even friends and family
ultimately don't give a shit
so the lesson is to do what makes you happy
and make that the benchmark
because if it makes you proud
that is all that matters
repeat if it makes you happy
don't worry about how they respond.
