and the retail rotundas;
everything is 90s this and 90s that,
everything 90s is back.
Just as when I was a kid,
and everything was 70s,
but we are further from the 90s now,
than we were the 70s then.
The phone feeds into my childhood urge
to just keep scrolling through cable channels,
but now it is Instagram Reels
of people falling, music and basketball.
But why did the worst fashion of the era return—
the clunky Filas and Reeboks,
minus the baby-doll crop-tops and the JNCOs—
and not much for men but a continuation of flannel shirts.
Instead of GoodFellas and Seinfeld,
I will watch something new tonight,
but then I see Empire Records on Hulu,
and I nod like Lady Gaga in the meme.
Can't help but to have
a "kids these days" kind of vibe,
but I am soooo glad I was young and crazy
before there were cell phones and evidence.
