I’m like every other poor kid.
I grew up in a small town,
and I want[ed] to write
a different future for myself.
I never thought it was possible,
but you kind of just put your name in a hat
and try for it.
Maybe I could’ve been a full-time writer before,
but being from Orlando. Florida kind of limits that.
I never felt like I could ever do that.
No one ever told me I could or should
do that in a serious way.
I never thought it was unrealistic,
but I never thought it was realistic.
