Tomorrow will be all about
playing defense and doctors' appointments
before going back to New York City,
hopefully as healthy as a high school lacrosse player.
I will dodge some of the goodbyes,
but not all,
and mat at The Roost for a kick in the caboose
from comedians and sultry bartenders
whom I've always had a slight crush on.
Now is the moment of confidence,
sleeping well like a Hobbit,
but only dreaming of rain,
and tin cans.
