Untuckey

I wonder if Dale & Pat
ever knew I existed.
Audra knew about you,
she still asks.

I think these thoughts
at ten o'clock.
The walls thin
and the phone rings.

Southern accents
and autumnal awe
at the smell of music
remind me to remember.

We can't ever go back,
nor do I want to,
but I never want
to hush history.
