A heavy thunderstorm ripped
through the area last night.
the flashes of lightning
woke me up.
I took a pee
and then tried to go
back to bed
but the wind and thunder kept me stirring.
I read a little
by the light of my iPhone,
a Thoreau thing about rain
and desire.
Before I knew it
I was asleep again,
dreaming of rain in Harlem
and fine gone Brooklyn gals dancing away in salsa steps.
