I Drove a Motorcylce Tonight

I do not view any of this lightly.
take a picture of me as I fall down the stairs.
I did not know I am not invincible.
You're so good looking.

my eyes water to tea and confidence,
the houses fly by,
your silent thunder matches mine.

you can have a bite of my life.
everyone I know is misspelled,
except you.

what the hell do we do,
now--
with the only thing we ever knew?

every sentence in my lives.
there's twenty five thousand things
to do
besides survive.

cursed royal wind, wide open,
on the night of the nurse and the criminal,
the exit lane is better
by way of funny architecture.

thank on the starlet sky,
where the old stars die
and the young stars burn.
the rocks and the trees, the lonesome dreams,
going back in time and going fast
for as long as I can last,
while the docks and the ships without names
let me be me by deeper water,
and a different place.
I've got a plan.
